William is the founding pastor of The Church @ Spring Hill.  He, his wife Meredith and their three children have lived in Spring Hill since 2005.  William has been a teacher & coach, a worship leader and was formerly on staff at First Baptist Church West Monroe, LA, The People’s Church in Franklin, TN and was the Pastor of The Portico.

William is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and is an avid reader and student.  His passion is teaching the scriptures in a contextual way that goes hard after their meaning among the first hearers.  The leadership and William hope that this type of reading and teaching of the scriptures will draw us away from trends and fads and call us back to a consistent vision of who and what God has called us to be as the church.  William is also deeply passionate about reaching neighborhoods and is excited about how The Church @ Spring Hill has really been birthed out of relationships that formed in the neighborhoods of Spring Hill.

William loves to read, watch football, play video games and hangout with his family.  He is always open to a cup of coffee or a meal and can often be found in the coffee houses of Spring Hill and Franklin.
